Support Kristy Lee Rodriquez’s Fight for Survival

Story

Dear friends, family, and kind strangers,

We are reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your help, love and prayer. Our beloved family member, Kristy Lee Rodriquez, has been hospitalized since 1/18/25 and is currently in Washington D.C. at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital fighting for her life. What started as a blood clot, has progressed into needing a multi-visceral organ transplant. She is currently sedated and undergoing countless procedures as she awaits a suitable donor.

As you can imagine, this has turned our world upside down!!

While we’re doing everything we can to support her emotionally and physically, the expenses are beyond our ability to manage alone. The hospital wants us to raise 30,000 and is requiring us to live in D.C. after surgery for 8-12 months, if not permanently, to be close to the hospital after surgery. Doctor’s say she will need 2 people caring for her 24/7. These 2 requirements had to be met for Kristy to be on the organ donor list so we are renting 2 weeks at a time but need something long term. Her mother (Kelly Carins) has been sleeping in the hospital every day and does not have a reliable vehicle.

We’ve set up this GoFundMe in hopes of raising the 30,000 goal set by the hospital to help cover:

Hospital and doctor bills
Prescription medications
Health Insurance premiums
Travel costs to and from D.C
An apartment to live in D.C. to get a donor
After life costs (praying this is not needed!!)
